Throwing away Negativity

have you ever spoken to someone who through out the entire conversation says words an says things to make you feel as less of a person or to making themselves seem better than you or they just trying to making you feel small.
This is a prime example of what I like to call "Forceful Negativity" and it can sneak up on you an really ruin the moment or even your day if you let it.
These people are simply full of anger and darkness and wish only to make those around them feel the same way they do.

Today i speek with someone like this an i began to feel anger an hostility to this person an it was in this moment I remember one of they great lessons of my life.

“When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That's the message he is sending.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh

while in meditation i search deep inside to find peace with this words and this attitude that is used against me today and i was able to see the hurt in the words and the need in the actions of this person.

Let us not blacken hour hearts in anger against people who offend us but instead open our hearts to them and be a beacon in the darkness they swim in.
Let us not run away and say " i will never speaking to this person again" but instead say "If i should be anywhere it is where i can be of they most help"
Let us push away this Negativity and fill ourselves with compassion , hope and peace that we may shine it on everyone we meet.
As a ship in they storm searches for a tiny light in the darkness let us be this light.
this is the way and they path that leads only to calm and peace :D
I am happy to have spoken with this person today for now i can see they need friends and more then anything they need compassion.

what a great day it is when they sun forces its way through the dark clouds and shines down to warm the earth.

Finding peace in the Chaos

The Darkness is more than I can take.
I find myself fighting against fading light.
Do not take this from me.

I lay my head in my hands and let the rain fall.
the drops feel good against my skin.
I am reminded of the simple beauty of a rain drop.

Breath in
Breath Out
this moment is not perfect but i will not let the fear control me

Breath in
Breath Out
peace begins to return, the sun peaks through the clouds.

Breath in
Breath Out
All is well.

Be still

and all things will end.
and all moons shall rise.
and soon i shall sleep
when i close my eyes.

let me see the sun
so then I shall know.
as old is to young.
sow life as we grow.

and when my time comes.
and my sun set is near.
let me to you pray.
and lend me your ear.

This advice I do have
to all that shall feel.
be patient and calm.
Sit Quite and be still.

The sun is not gone

The sun is not gone when the sky is Grey
It simply made room for the clouds
The sun is not gone when the Night falls
It is i simply made room for the moon.
And when the rain comes the sun is not gone
it is simply letting the world drink.
and when the night fades and the Clouds break
the sun will be back once again.

All is well

I see the dark clouds slowly moving their way accross the sky.
the Sun is blocked and the day is grey.

Oh How i love the smell just before the first Rain drop falls.
I can almost feel the rain in the air as the breeze blows through my window.

Clouds Carry rain
Rain waters the ground.
Food shall grow.
we shall feast.

Life is abundant, All is well.

Oh how i love the Rain

I am Greatful

I am grateful
for the sun for it gives me light and warmth and shines down on me so i may enjoy its yellow rays.

for eyes so that i may see all the beautiful colours, so i may witness the swaying of the trees so i may see the sun.

for the breeze so i may feel its soft touch on my skin and breath in its life giving air.

for my family who takes care of me and fills me with love even when I do not show love back.

for my friends who bring me so much inspiration and joy they are worth living for.

and I am grateful to be alive that I may enjoy and love all these things.
tomorrow is a new day but right now I will live in this moment.

A New Day

when I wake I like to smile.
I take in the fresh new air and smile because I know I am alive.
my body moves and with every step i am Joyfull to have this new day.
I stand looking out my window at the New day, I can smell fresh dew in the breeze.
the trees and the grass seem to dance with the soft breeze and I feel grateful that i am here to witness it.

The Sun

I turn away from the glare of the sun.
yet i still feel its warmth.
oh how glorious such a thing as the sun is.
it gives me light , it gives me warmth, it gives me life.
a spring in my step as walk now in the sun.
even my shaddow seems to smile
I am happy for I am alive.

Walk as a free Person

A talk by Thich Nhat Hanh

This Morning when i stepped into the prison compound I walked very mindfully.
I noticed that the Quality of the air was exactly like the quality of the air outside.
When I looked at the sky I saw that it was Exactly the same as the sky outside.
when i looked at the grass and the flowers they too looked the same as the grass and flowers outside.
Each step i took brought me the same kind of solidity and freedom that I experienced outside. So there is nothing that can prevent us from practicing Successfully and bringing freedom and solidity to ourselves.
When you walk, Breathe in as you take two or three steps, call the name of someone you love, someone who can bring you a feeling of freshness, compassion and love. With every step Call His or Her Name. Suppose I call the name of David when I breathe in I take two steps and quietly call David David. When I call His n name David will be with me. I walk with Peace and Freedom So that David can walk with Peace and Freedom at the same time with me. When I breathe out I take another two steps and say " Here I am, Here I am" so Not only is David there for me, but i am there for him at the same time. David David Here I am, Here i am I am Entirely Concentrated on the act of Walking and breathing. My mind is not thinking about anything else.
you can call to the Earth, Earth Earth! Here I am Here I am " the earth is our mother and is always there for us she has produced us brought us to life and she will receive us and bring us back again and again countless times. So when i call Earth I call to my awareness that is the ground of m y being. Here I am Here I am.
if you practice like this for a few weeks or months you will begin to feel much better.
The practice is to get in touch with Elements inside ourselves that are wonderful that refresh and heal us. Without mindfulness in our daily life we tend to allow in many elements that are harmful to our bodies and our consciousness. The Buddha said that nothing can survive without food. Our joy cannot survive without food Neither can our sorrow or our despair.
If we have Despair it is because we have fed our Despair the kind of food it thrives on. if we are depressed the Buddha advises that we look deeply into the nature of our depression to identify the source of the food that we use to nourish it. Once the source of the nourishment has been identified cut it off. The depression will fade away after a week or two.
Without mindfulness in our daily lives we feed our anger and despair by looking at or listening to things around us that are highly toxic.
We consume many Toxins each day
what we see on Television or read in magazines can nourish our anger and despair. but if we breathe in and out mindfully and realize that these are not the kinds of things we want to consume then we will stop consuming them.
To live mindfully means to stop ingesting Therse kinds of poisons. Instead choose to be in touch with what is wonderful, refreshing and healing within yourself and around you.

I have a breathing exercise that i would like to offer you. I am sure if you follow this exercise in difficult moments you will find relief.

Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.
Breathing in, I notice that my in breath has become deeper. Breathing out, I notice that my out breath has become slower.
Breathing in, i calm myself
Breathing out , I feel at ease.
Breathing in, I smile.
Breathing out, I release.
Breathing in, I dwell in the present moment
Breathing out, I feel it is a wonderful moment.
